Overview

Designated a Historic Monument, the Roman Theater of Lillebonne—an ancient performance venue—is the only visible remnant of antiquity currently in Lillebonne. It is one of the largest and best-preserved theaters in northern France.

Why This Site Is Essential

For an even more immersive experience, explore the reconstructions of ancient devices: a wooden scaffold, a hoist used to lift stone blocks, and a cooking hearth illustrating everyday activities. These installations immerse you in the craftsmanship of the builders and the domestic life of the Roman era.
